Brian has been working with keyboardist John Kilik on a new duo project called "The Well Band", and it's going, oh...very well.

This gives him a chance to sing tunes not done by either of his tribute characters. He is out of costume and appearing as himself for a change!

He says "it is a lot of fun and John is a fantastic musician and director. If you find yourself around the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina, drop me an e-mail and I'll let you know where we'll be performing".

WHAT'S NEW
APRIL 2006

"Well, sometimes I wonder myself, friends. The last several weeks have brought travel to St. Augustine and New Smyrna Beach, Florida for shows with the Elvis who stands tall among Elvii -- Pete Alden. This was a return visit to perform in the beautiful Coronado Community Methodist Church. The audience was phenomenal, and there were so many in attendance we could have easily added another show had the venue been available. For a show that began at 7pm, the seats were filled and then some by 6pm. Parking attendants were telling people not to bother hunting a space as there were no seats left. The church had an overflow anteroom, and even it too was filled with people sitting on the floor without any way to see the stage at all. What an appreciative bunch!

April 1st was no April Fool's joke for me! "Legends in Concert" called me to work at Myrtle Beach. If you have seen the show at that venue, but not lately, then you have a lot of catching up to do. The lobby has been completely remodeled. The stage has been expanded and restructured, allowing the band members to spread out from side to side and place Randy and his drum kit on a high riser at the center. The dancers now have a catwalk behind the band and two curved staircases for dramatic exits and entrances. Seats have been moved and repositioned so that the audience is now closer to the action. All in all, the "Legends" theatre at Myrtle Beach has just about become a new venue. The best parts have been retained; the terrific band, talented crew and friendly box office staff. I'll have more to say a bit later, but it looks like this could be the spot. I'll keep you posted.

Finally, (as if I don't have enough else to do) I've also begun working at another entertainment venue in North Myrtle Beach called "Ghosts and Legends".

Now, this has nothing to do with the familar "Legends" I have already mentioned above. This one is a spooky show at a shopping & resort area called Barefoot Landing. It's a state-of-the-art special effects show that brings the entire theatre to life with lights and sound, and, well, ghosts and legends. Customers see Blackbeard the pirate and live through a coastal hurricane, among other scary things, all while sitting in a comfortable Southern plantation parlor".

The SHOWS page will have news of "The Well Band",
plus upcoming trips to New England, and beyond.
And as the tourists say, "The weather is beautiful,
wish you were here!"

All the best,
Brian
