FEBRUARY/MARCH 2006

"I'm back in sunny South Carolina after a trip of several days to western New England. The actual traveling had a wintry challenge or two, with Amtrak running six hours late on the way up and having to get around a chemical spill at the Hartford rail yards on the return, but all in all, a fine getaway. The show at Greenfield in Massachusetts was a huge success. It was great fun to work again with Mike Slahetka and the members of "Shakin' All Over". Several of our old friends were there, and one dropped me a note afterwards. Sandi said: 'Your show was the best we have ever seen of you! Yep, no kidding. You really seemed to be enjoying yourself and your singing was the tops. We had a great time that night'. Thanks, Sandi, it was a lot of fun doing that one. Keep an eye out as we may head back to your part of the map again soon. On the personal side, a wonderful part of the trip was getting to see my Massachusetts granddaughters. Arya is bright and beautiful, and her brand-new sister (born January 17, 2006) Amara was a welcome visitor to my lap. She's very tiny and not yet conversing much, but a wonderful addition to the family tree". All the best,
